PAUL ERICKSON

Paul is an experienced technology executive, with a passion for bringing innovative technologies from the drawing board to reality. He has over 25 years experience designing and marketing breakthrough technologies including wireless communications, laser imaging systems and lithium battery technologies. His global sales experience and practical design expertise brings together innovation with profitability.

After graduating top of class from BC Institute of Technology’s Robotics and Automation program, Paul started his career with Creo Products Inc. a laser imaging company that revolutionized the printing industry by bringing prepress equipment to the digital age with it direct-to-plate imaging equipment. Paul was responsible for production planning of the workflow software suite and after a successful IPO, Creo was eventually bought out and rebranded under the Eastman Kodak family.

Paul then found his passion in the start-up world with companies in the digital test equipment and lithium battery space, before joining fSONA Networks Corp, where he was involved in numerous aspects of the company’s operations, from design to business development. In his roll in engineering, he had project management responsibility for the initial design right through to commercialization of all fSONA’s base platforms; resulting in Network Magazine’s “Product of the Year” award. He then went on to introduce to the market the first commercial 10Gbps optical wireless link which sold more than  $12 million to military, defense and financial trading markets in over 60 countries.

Paul is excited to bring his experience to Equinox and help introduce their innovative power electronics designs to the worlds electric vehicle charger market.
