Julie Strilesky has over fifteen years experience accelerating climate impact in both the private and public sectors. She has worked for the BC and Ontario governments, as well as industries spanning retail, banking and clean technology. Julie is an inspired leader who is adept at communications, project management and consensus-building to achieve results.
She has recently joined Equinox Power as Director, Government Relations and Sustainability, and is focused on sourcing government partners and grants to advance the commercialization of Equinox’s leading EV charging technology.
Her greatest achievements include: Managing five philanthropic programs at HSBC focused on Canadian climate innovation and the net zero transition for small business, and receiving approval for $1.4M in funding for programming; establishing partnerships with cities during her time at Portable Electric; securing significant funding and buy-in for various sustainability programs related to energy, waste and textiles at Lululemon; and, developing a geothermal energy regulation on behalf of the Ontario Government.
She studied English and International Development at Queen's University, and received her Masters in Political Economy from the London School of Economics. Julie enjoys traveling, volunteering for environmental and refugee causes, teaching yoga, cycling, and the great outdoors.
